What happens if I do not pay my fine?

If you do not pay your fines, a hold will be placed on your Library account and your Mohawk College academic account. This hold will prevent you from borrowing Library items, registering for courses, receiving grades, and requesting transcripts. Account holds are placed when:

• Items have not been returned
• Fines total $10.00 or more
• Fines have not been paid on an item which is overdue by 2 weeks or more

Account Holds are removed when fines have been paid in full.
